About the film
Eva dreams of emigrating to Italy, but is held back by her concern for her dog. When the veterinarian assures her that the pet can easily take the journey, it becomes clear that Italy is only a fictitious goal that helps the heroine cope with inner feelings and fills her life with meaning.

Preparing for the journey becomes a metaphor for accepting the inevitable: Eva realises that her fear of change is like the fear of the last journey, where the ticket is always one way.
