About the film
After the annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014, Pavel leaves his homeland and ventures into the Ukrainian countryside. In search of an ideal spot, he encounters challenges and obstacles but strives to maintain his identity and independence. The final scene, where Pavel builds a beach, becomes a symbol of his desire to return to an idealized past. "Way Home" is a story of self-discovery and the pursuit of one's place in the world, highlighting the importance of self-acceptance and the fight for one's ideals.
